| I began my "life on dA" about 5 years ago on another account. I had no idea what I was doing but knew I loved what I saw and the people were groovy too! After integrating into the community and learning the ropes, I was invited to be a then Gallery Director for the wallpaper gallery. Soon after, film came to dA. I have a lot of background in film and was offered the volunteer position for the film and animation team. Fast forwarding a bit- in January of 2008, I became a full time employee of dA, working as the Assistant Director of Artist Relations. Very rewarding experience, and then, after the volunteer program was "restructured," and a trip to L.A., I became the Manager of Film Development full time. (October 2008) January, 2009. I received a phone call from my boss, $Moonbeam13, and was terminated. Nothing prior had indicated to me that there was an issue of any kind. Business is business, I'm told. Maybe I was petting the llama backwards and $spyed couldn't articulate that himself and sent his minion to do his dirty work?  I've met the love of my life, `allhopeislost here, and gained a LOT more than I lost. (pun intended) My respect regarding the integrity and professionalism of particular members of the upper administration is obviously kicked to the curb. I was always taught to treat people fairly no matter what the situation. I'm still here and will check in. I still adore the people I've met, but... I certainly don't feel at "home" here anymore. I'm not going to lie- the game is HARD. Not a mindless clicking game, by any means. You actually have to pay attention to what you read and if you intend to play and do not have 3rd party cookies enabled on your computer, you won't get in.
If you like the care bears app, you won't like this game.if you're willing to think a bit, then have at it!

`allhopeislost, *FXMorph, and myself began a journey some time ago with a group of developers for an online game that will be hosted on facebook and (my guess)- likely myspace. This is turning into something that I've always dreamed of but can't really go into detail just yet. HOWEVER... let me say that if you play anything on facebook and happen to like vampires and or dark art, this is the game for you. AHiL has rocked the socks of many with his interface design and *FXMorph has kicked some serious ass on the "power" graphics in the game. I've only done a few of the graphics but it's been a blast.
We've also had the honor of being on the development team there and our beta group is now grown to 500 with our page following rising to 2,000 over the past week and WE ARE NOT EVEN LIVE yet!! The forums are nuts, the people are literally missing work to play the game.The sponsors for the game love the story, have fawned over the graphics and are happy to be working with us. I am so proud of everyone on the team. It's like giving birth to something amazing that's all made of pixels and love.
Once the game goes live, we're expecting massive traffic. There are so many that want in now that we're planning for the future already with servers, support and the like. (sound familiar??) It fucking Rox. So much fun. If you haven't added me on FB, get your butts on it! You need to see the view at the very least- even if you aren't a gamer
